I've decided that I'm a creative person. Well, sure,I'm creative but often times, I forget my limitations. So yesterday after I got the CD from my friend, Mariela, the photographer, I got busy creating our First Christmas card. There was one major obstacle that I didn't take into consideration. You have to print these cards. Minor detail.

So today, I went to Office Depot and bought a new printer (Alberto fed my old printer dog food), card stock paper, a paper cutter, envelopes and the drive and desire to be a Renaissance woman.

After attempting to make this stuff work, I realized that I didn't like the print quality, realized that the envelopes were not going to work and wondered why on earth had I done all of this when I have so much work to do. And to be honest with you, it costs a heck of a lot more money to do it yourself than to actually outsourced the stuff.
So, I've thrown in the towel. Technology has beat me. Fortunately, KodakGallery had some nice selections. Hopefully, I'll get my Christmas cards out before New Years.
Who knows, maybe I'll email the pictures to myself and work on this at the office tomorrow. Oh, what am I talking about? I need to work while I'm at the office. As a matter of fact, I should be working right now. Oh no....
Poor Alberto, sometimes, my heart just breaks for him. He got stuck with a wacky, yet colorful mama! He wasn't complaining when we were playing at Office Depot. I think the other customers must have thought I needed medication but Alberto was laughing out loud. So who cares what perfect strangers would think?
Alberto is doing really well. This week, he is eating well. So, I decided I would try to mix his Pediasure with soy milk to see if he would tolerate it. Guess what? It's working! Only problem is that the soy milk/pediasure mixture doesn't seem to be as filling which means he is asking for another bottle at around midnight. Yikes! But I think also that since it's not as filling, he's eating better.
For those that have been losing sleep over my sore throat, sinus headache, runny nose and congestion leading to a full blown tight chest, cough, and stuffed up nose and Alberto was about as miserable as I, I am happy to report that I have re-discovered a magic potion. It's pretty simple, Vicks Vapor Rub slathered onto the feet. Now, it's the "real" Vicks, not the Baby Vicks. I'm telling you, it works! I feel so much better after my Vick's Foot Massage. I think every family should have a jar of it in their homes!

Your cards are beautiful. You are SO creative...I should have you redo my blog!!! I'm sorry you are having problems with the printing of them. I admit it - we outsourced ours to shutterfly.com!!!
Your comment about Alberto feeding your old printer dog food made me smile. My eldest put quarters in my car's CD player when he was 3. He thought it was a piggy bank! ARGH - for a long time, if I took a corner to sharply, you could hear the CD player try to eject the quarters. It hasn't worked now for 4 years (and I'm too cheap to get it fixed.)

I'm telling you girl, tinyprints.com! I'm glad you decided to try the old school method though. Gives you an idea of what us traditional scrapbookers do! Love the cards! Can't wait to see how they turn out!
Vicks, man, I gotta get me some of that in the house. And I call myself a nurse...
Ok, if in need, I promise to try that one!!!!LOL
Found your blog on Guatadopt.
If you still want to professionally print (like Costco) your cute Christmas card, I can tell you how. I made mine (was feeling creative like you), and printed them at Costco as 5x7's. They gave me envelopes for free. You can see my card on my blog.
Merry Christmas!
Thank you! Thank you for mailing me your Christmas card! It is the cutest thing (along with your son)!
You should hear the compliments you have gotten when people look through my cards!
Happy New Year,
Stacy
