No School Today

Alberto's daycare was closed today in order to celebrate Columbus Day. Okay, give me a break. They were not celebrating Columbus Day. I am sure most people don't even know what Columbus Day is about other than the sales that come the weekend before Columbus Day. Regardless, there was no daycare.

Nanny Teo, turned Cleaning Lady Teo, reclaimed her Nanny Teo status for today. She was amazed at how active and energized Alberto is. Granted, he was a model child for her throughout the day and didn't understand why he became high maintenance when I arrived. Then concurred that he had "mamitis". That happens when the desire for "mami" is "swollen, enlarged or just great". I can live with that. He also advised her when he was doing his "caca". She was very impressed. What can I say? He's an impressive little dude!

Alberto is doing much better now that he's been on his nebulizer treatments. His coughing is very much under control. He's also regained his appetite and seems as though he is making up for lost time. Boy can that child eat when he wants to.

The downside of the nebulizer treatments is that I am, by default, receiving nebulizer treatments as well and suffering from all the side effects. I have the dry mouth, scratchy throat and hoarse voice.

I will confess that Crazy Mama Syndrome is starting to creep up again. Well, I started researching the medications that he is taking. So, I go in and check on him OFTEN to make sure he's breathing. I can be so neurotic.

Glad to hear Alberto is getting better and back to his "normal" self. You mean, you don't need those neb treatments? LOL!

Glad to hear the treatments are helping Alberto! Caylee had them when we first brought her home. She hasn't been sick since until now...The misterious ear infection, with no signs at all?
