I've always wondered what the phenomenon of the pumpkin patch was. I'd never seen one, not really. Yet, I'd received photos from friends and family with their kids in the midst of pumpkins and thought "what a nice thing to do if you live up North".
We don't really celebrate or see the change in seasons here. I know some who change the decor of the house to match the seasons -- by calendar not necessarily determined by any physical changes in the atomosphere. I used to do that, to some degree. But right now, my priority is more in keeping my house clean and clutter-free (and toys all over the place) than it being seasonal -- which was easier before motherhood.
These were taken yesterday. As you can see, Fall was in full bloom. I thought it was cool I could get pictures of bees but couldn't get a decent one of a butterfly....
Still the idea of the changing seasons has always been interesting to me. I've always appreciated the pictures and the change in scenery. So when I saw the advertisement in the parenting magazine for the pumpkin patch and pony rides, I was all over it.
So yesterday when it was about 100 degrees outside, I dressed Alberto in his orange shirt and jeans -- I was in much lighter clothes and was melting (I wonder if I burned extra calories yesterday just for being outside). We went with my mom, Cristy and Camille and headed down to the Little Farm.
It was a nice day; although very hot and well, my throat was still sore so I got cranky and irritable after a little while. But the kids did fabulously-- better than me!
This morning, the temperature has fallen and it's actually quite breezy and chilly outside. I figure it must be in the mid 70's! Brrr sweater weather!

Great pictures!! yes it is chilly now. It was 44 when we went to church this morning!!
I just update our blog in what seems like forever.
I have to say, I would rather have pumpkin hunted in 100 degree heat than 20 degree frigid temps! Alberto looks adorable in his pumpkin picture! When doesn't he look adorable though.
You my dear are getting the hang of that camera! Nice pics!
