I must admit that there have been times that I have been a blog slacker because there really has been no way to say the same thing a different and interesting way. But right now, the truth is that I've been so busy with life and work that I haven't had much time to put all the things going on into a cohesive thought.
So I'll "nutshell" it for you (If I am even capable of nutshelling anything)... This morning at work, one of my co-workers was sharing how she was so exhausted and just hadn't stopped and how I just didn't understand. Didn't understand? I looked at her, popped out of my chair, and said, "excuse me? Don't understand? Your problem is that you need to start eating healthy, taking your vitamins and drinking plenty of water." Okay so at this point the girls are laughing because my solution to everything -- if it's not Jesus -- is what they are eating, drinking water and taking vitamins.
So I recap... Two weeks ago, I had a toddler who had a cold and was miserable. He wasn't sick enough to be knocked out and in need of some heavy duty medication. No, he was just sick enough to be miserable, cranky, irritable, and inconsolable. And that made for a very long week which by Saturday I was counting the minutes until it was bedtime. Fortunately, he recovered so that part of my life quickly got better. But during that time, we had a "project" at work which required me to work late, receive emails and phone calls in the evening and on the weekend. To say it was tense was an understatement.
I haven't stopped. I have been going to bed late, waking up early, parenting a toddler (and loving it), cleaning up after my two dogs, taking on more house duties now that I've put my cleaning lady on an every other week rotation, trying to work out, starting my Bible study, working and pretty much trying to keep it together while dealing with really bad hair.
And I concluded by saying... "And look! I have energy, vitality and pep. It's called eating relatively healthy, drinking my water and Vitamins! So start taking them!"
At that point, they were going to check my vitamins to make sure they were in fact vitamins and not something else. :-)
"No one told me that trains weren't bath toys, school toys, car toys, and church toys."
